Coming off the road

Come as you are, boots and all

Park behind the building and come in the back door. We take your coat and hat, hand you a robe and slippers and ask how you'd like the hour to go.

There is tea and water in the lounge afterward, and nobody hurries you out. Short visits mean you can fit one between the ranch, the highway and supper.

  • Dusty boots are fine; there is a mat at the door

  • A locker for your coat, your hat and your phone

  • A talk about pressure and anything to avoid

  • Tea and water in the lounge afterward

The team

Who looks after you

These three are the people you meet first. Each one takes bookings by name.

  • Marian Amundsen, owner and massage therapist, with short silver hair in a sage tunic, smiling in a treatment room

    Marian Amundsen

    Owner and massage therapist

Marian opened Bighorn after working other people's tables, and she still works one most days. She does the longer massages and the hot stone visits, and she is the one who answers when someone calls from the road to ask if there is an opening.

  • Homero Robledo, massage therapist, holding a folded towel beside a sunlit window in a treatment room

    Homero Robledo

    Massage therapist

Homero works with firm, even pressure on shoulders, backs and legs, and he is who most hands and hunters ask for after a hard week. He also speaks Spanish.

  • Anissa Merino, esthetician, in a charcoal tunic in a bright skin room with a steamer and a treatment bed

    Anissa Merino

    Esthetician

    • Esthetician License · WY Lic. 000000

Anissa does the facials and the hands and feet. She starts with a look at your skin and a talk about what you use at home, and she keeps the short visits short.

Questions before you book

Can I come straight off the road?

Yes. Park behind the building and come in the back door. Dusty boots are fine; there is a mat, and we give you a robe and slippers.

How early should I arrive?

Ten minutes before your time is plenty for a short visit. If you arrive late we shorten the service so the next guest isn't kept waiting.

Do you take walk-ins?

When there is an opening, yes. Call ahead from the road and we'll tell you what is open, or just stop in.

What should I wear?

Whatever you drove in. For massage you undress to your comfort and stay covered by a sheet, and we give you a robe, slippers and a locker.

Can two of us book side by side?

Yes. Two guests can be booked at the same time with two therapists. Call us for a group of three or more.

I'm pregnant. Can I book a massage?

Marian is trained in prenatal massage. Please check with your doctor first and tell us when you book.
